What's Your Excuse

What’s Your Excuse?

I just recently saw a post from a good friend who received an email stating, “I can’t buy Pro Blog Academy because I don’t have any money.”

His response, “Now this is an easy excuse to live by, I know I used to live by it, but the truth be told it was very difficult to live with that excuse…

…the question is how badly do you really want something? (WHATEVER THAT MAY BE)

How important are your dreams to you?

When you see something that can help you take your business from where it is to the next level, and you don’t have cash, you can do 1 of 2 things…

1) You can make the excuse that you don’t have any money.

2) You can do whatever it takes to get that money, and then implement what you learn so you have the money on your own the next time!”

Kuddos to my good friend putting this what’s your excuse into perspective.  I know him personally and he wouldn’t be where he is today had he let his money issues stop him.

You see this may make a lot of you angry when I ask what’s your excuse, because you might actually be this person with no money. I recognize that and trust me, I was in the “no money” shoes at one time.  But, I had to recognize that my current situation shouldn’t dictate my future or hold me back from my dreams of financial and time freedom.

This isn’t about you buying Pro Blog Academy this is about you and what’s holding you back.  What’s your excuse and what are you allowing to hold you back?  Is it technology? Money? Time? Bitterness? Negative mindset? Failures?

The only way you are going to get yourself out of the situation you are in is to stop letting circumstances hold you back. They are just that, my friend, circumstances that can be overcome with the right mindset.

Let nothing stop you.  Define your why and be crystal clear on it.  What is it you want and what is going to be the driving force that will push you through any obstacle in your way?

I had someone recently tell me they were going to quit this industry all together because they just didn’t know what was wrong with her and why she just couldn’t get it.

Broke my heart to hear this…..because I know that on many occasions I wanted to quit, I wanted to throw in the towel, but what was my alternate plan?  Go back and get a job and lose the chance to be a full time mom of our two beautiful girls?

Go back to the 9 to 5 rat race? Sit in traffic morning and night?  Lose the opportunity to eat lunch with our girls at school or attend their school functions during the day?  Lose the chance to take them to swim practice everyday and help them with their homework, only to have someone else to those duties for me?  Or how about lose the chance to wipe the tears from their precious faces because I was hung up at a job 20 miles away?

Not a chance was I going to let that happen and that’s my why….. You see my “WHY” is bigger than any obstacle that could possibly get in my way.

This is what you must have in place before you move forward. If you want to overcome your circumstances get clear on your “WHY” so when you find yourself in a situation that seems to difficult to overcome, you can take that “WHY” and knock down any excuse that you allow yourself to make.

You can have success and sometimes it’s just a degree off.  Don’t quit, invest in yourself and know your success could just be right around the next bend.  The only way to fail my friend is to just quit.  You will never fail if you just keep moving forward.

So, what’s your excuse that’s holding you back?
