Facebook Fan Page Status Updates – Does Promoting Work?

Promoting your Facebook Fan Page status updates are definitely effective if you want to reach more fans, get more leads, more exposure, more sales and more engagement on you Facebook fan page.

In the Facebook fan page status updates video below I show you how to create a promoted status update post and what kind of results you should expect.

You can pretty much promote any kind of post you create on your Facebook fan page such as photos, videos, offers, questions, etc….but be sure you are following the Facebook Guidelines.  Also it should be noted that only Facebook fan pages with at least 400 likes can promote their posts. You can promote page posts while you’re creating them or within about 3 days after posting.

You might also be wondering who can see your promoted posts.  As of this post your promoted posts can be seen by anyone in the post’s audience. Promoting a post does not affect who can see it. Instead, it bumps the post higher in news feed so more of the people you shared it with are likely to notice it.  The reason why something goes viral as you saw in the video is due to the increase in views of my post being at the top of the news feed and when a fan interacts their friends now see a news story about the engagement which likely results in more engagement from that friend who may not be my fan yet.

Though if someone has hidden your posts or your page they still will not see any of your promoted Facebook fan page status updates.

Hope this helps!

Are you using Facebook Fan Page Status Updates as a promotional tool, if so comment in the section below and let me know your results thus far.

I just tried this with my page for the first time yesterday. I “promoted” a link to my newsletter. It was a lot cheaper than I thought it was going to be for sure. For me, I think it was worth the $5. I’ve got a couple days left yet on my promotion, but already I have new likes on my page and have had decent feedback from people that would not otherwise have even seen my post.
I will likely use the promote page feature again in the future.

What a great strategy to go viral. With this strategy, endless leads will be generated. But what I didn’t get is how you can initiate this process. My question may look stupid but in as much as I don’t know it, it’s not a stupid question.

    Kindly put me through.
